The Tualatin Riverkeepers
is a community-based organization working to protect and restore
Oregon's Tualatin River system. The Tualatin Riverkeepers build
watershed stewardship through public education, access to nature,
citizen involvement and advocacy.

Jackson Bottom Wetlands
Preserve is a premier resource center for information and services

Cascade Link’s mission
is to improve citizen access to information and technology in the
Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA metropolitan-region. It provides
a means for citizen involvement and to provide online access to
citizens living in the Portland, OR/ Vancouver, WA metropolitan-region.
The network specifically serves Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington
counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington.

The Oregon Water Trust’s
mission is to restore surface water flows for healthier streams

Clean Water Services is
a public utility committed to protecting water resources in the
Tualatin River Watershed. Information is provided on innovative

The CPO discusses issues

TU Oregon Council is involved
with coldwater fisheries conservation and includes latest news in

Unlimited. We act to represent all of the coldwater

by For Sake of the Salmon are designed to assist watershed groups
and their partners with their organizational and technical capacity.
They provide timely and relevant information, resources, and assistance
to watershed organizations, public agencies, Tribes and other partners
that work to protect and restore fish habitat and improve water
quality throughout Washington, Oregon and California. This website
includes resources that have been examined and judged to be the
most useful for these groups.

Friends of Trees is a
nonprofit organization that depends upon support from businesses,
foundations, public agencies and individuals. The site encourages
members to help Friends of Trees build stronger communities and

natural areas. In addition, Friends of Trees makes the planting
of trees in yards affordable through a Branching
Out program.

SOLV is a non-profit organization

Audubon Society of Portland
promotes the understanding, enjoyment, and protection of native
birds, other wildlife and their habitats. The Portland site

The Nature Conservancy's
mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities

The Oregon Habitat Joint
Venture (formerly Oregon Wetlands Joint Venture) is a coalition
of private conservation organizations working with government agencies
to protect and restore wetlands and other important habitats for
native fish and wildlife. The Joint Venture helps put together
partnerships for a variety of habitat-related projects, including
habitat restoration and enhancement on private and public lands,
acquisition of key areas for permanent protection, and development
of educational and interpretive programs.

The mission of the Resource
Assistance for Rural Environments (RARE) Program is to increase
the capacity of rural communities to improve their economic, social,
and environmental conditions, through the assistance of trained
graduate-level participants who live and work in communities for
11 months (1,700 hours). Qualified college graduates (with a bachelor's
degree) and graduate-level students who are selected as RARE participants
assist communities and agencies in the development and implementation
of plans for achieving a sustainable natural resource base and improving
rural economic conditions.

W.A.T.E.R PROJECT
(Watershed Awareness Through Electronic Resources)

The WATER project is an
interactive resource for information about water quality and wildlife
issues in Oregon’s Tualatin River Watershed. The project
was developed at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and
was made possible by a grant from the Tualatin Valley Water Quality
Endowment Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. Support
is included from the Tualatin River Watershed Council, the Tualatin
Riverkeepers, and the Washington County Soil & Water Conservation
District.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife
website contains information on Tualatin River Refuge habitat, recreation,
and education. Also, the Friends of the Refuge website is

River National Wildlife Refuge. We are dedicated to the protection
and restoration of the Refuge for the benefit of fish and wildlife,
and for public education and recreation.

The Watermaster's Office
is part of the Field Services Division of OWRD. There are twenty
Watermaster Districts statewide, organized into five regions. The
Watermaster functions as a local contact for landowners, elected
officials and watershed councils, as well as other government agencies
at the local, state, and federal level. In addition, the Watermaster
and his or her staff conduct stream flow measurements and maintain
gauging stations; conduct well inspections and collect groundwater
level data; perform routine dam safety inspections; assist in stream
recovery efforts; provide information to landowners and others on
water rights and Oregon Water Law; regulate water use during times
of shortage and mediate disputes between water users.

In 1990, the Oregon
District of the U.S.
Geological Survey began a water-quality assessment of the
Tualatin River, in partnership with Clean
Water Services (formerly Unified Sewerage Agency of Washington
County, Oregon). These web pages are intended to provide an overview
of that project, and to provide selected data from the Tualatin
River Basin.

Adopt Your Watershed- Is a database of Watershed groups throughout
the nation. You can search for a group in your area either by State,
Zip code, Group Name, Keywords or even Stream Name. Currently over
3000 groups are indexed. Sites and groups are voluntarily submitted.

Ecotrust's mission is

Saturday Academy offers

The Student Watershed
Research Project (SWRP™), a program of Saturday Academy, uses
the cooperation of teachers, students, scientists, businesses, governmental
agencies, and community groups to couple watershed education with
the collection of high quality data. It is the mission of SWRP to
develop awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment leading to
responsible behavior and constructive actions with regard to water
quality and watershed resources.

Oregon, the Oregon Water Resources Research Institute represents
the research and educational programs in water resources of all

The Oregon Association

The Tualatin Soil and
Water Conservation District has been working to protect the natural
resources of Washington County for over 47 years. The District
is situated in the fertile lower Willamette Basin. The western
portion of the District is a patchwork quilt of farmland, producing
a variety of crops including hazelnuts, berries, and hay.
The eastern portion is a growing urban area full of culture and
